Dear all

The LHL Learner Support Programme Steering Group is pleased to announce the next six day FILE: Facilitating Information Literacy Education course. (See attached flyer for details). The course is validated by London Metropolitan University as a post-graduate module of 20 credits.

There are 12 places and they will be determined on a first come, first served basis. If the course is oversubscribed your explanation of why you would like to do the course will be taken into account before places are finally allocated.

Before talking to your manager about attending, please be aware that all applicants must be able to:

attend all six sessions
actively participate in a small group of 12 people
take part in a group presentation in session three, give an individual presentation in session five and deliver a short training session in session six
complete the assessed portfolio
share the learning and teaching resources they produce during the course with a wider audience via a dedicated web site
Trainer: Susie Andretta, Senior Lecturer, Department of Information Management, London Metropolitan University

Venue: London Metropolitan University, Ladbroke House, (Highbury and Islington railway station and Tube)

Dates: 16 January, 30 January, 20 February, 5 March, 19 March, 2 April 2008
